Working closely with our national and local partners across the UK, we broker opportunities for Zurich employees to share their business know how and develop their professional and life skills themselves along the way. One of the ways to do this is through our Skillshare programme.

Skillshare projects are usually one off activities designed to make a quick and valuable difference to a community organisation. Taking between two and 20 hours, Skillshares can be completed in one go or over a few months.

Zurich colleagues are encouraged to share their skills in a huge array of areas including marketing, business planning, communications, sales training, strategic planning, health & safety guidance, social media training and report writing.

Skillshare is also very much a two way street! We know our Zurich colleagues often gain as much through donating their know how as the beneficiary organisation themselves.

Over 200 Zurich individual volunteers each year share their skills and experience with charities, community organisations and schools across the country.

We all have something to offer!

From running social media workshops for smaller local charities through to being a mentor for young people with a disability through our work with Volunteering Matters, Zurich colleagues are always keen to share their skills and experience to help their local communities.

We are extremely lucky to be able to harness the expertise and business know-how of many of our colleagues working for Zurich UK.

While you're here take a look at this blog written by Pete Everson, a Finance Graduate from the Zurich Swindon office. It's a great read about his volunteering experience!
