More than money page image

Our full 'More than money' offering

Welcome to the area of the hub that introduces you to the support we offer far beyond your annual grants. In addition to your funding, we're delighted to offer a huge range of resources that we hope will help you move even closer to fulfilling your charity’s vision.

We're keen to make sure we adapt our resources along with our partners changing needs, so with the help of our ZCT Partnership Forum and partnership feedback, our #MoreThanMoney package will continue to evolve.

Who are the ZCT Partnership Forum?

The ZCT Partnership Forum (previously known as the ZCT Advisory Group) is made up members of our local and national charity partners, who meet on a quarterly basis. The objective of the group is to share and discuss the current challenges in order to identify any common themes, so that we can and look at ways that ZCT may be able to support our charity partners on broad scale.

All partners are welcome to join our partnership forum at any time - all voices are valued! If you are interested in joining the group please contact Sarah Covington in the ZCT team.

The Zurich Community Trust are really excited to be working with NCVO to bring you a more flexible option regarding accessing training.

Image - NCVO purpleOur charity partners can book an additional five days of free training per organisation on courses of your choice! This offer will run until the 31 December 2024. These training days can be utilised on any of the NCVO open courses available on their website.

They can be utilised in a variety of ways, for example ten half day courses, five full day courses or a mixture, as long as the total number of days does not exceed five days in total! They can be used for employed staff, volunteers or trustees – however your organisation sees fit!

ZCT will be invoiced directly by the NCVO for any bookings made so you don’t have to pay anything!

How to access the training

  1. Pick the course and date you wish to attend (new dates are published on a regular basis) from the website All Training Events.
  2. Once you have decided on the course complete this form. This should be done at least two weeks before the start date to avoid disappointment.
  3. Once you have been manually entered onto the course you will receive a notification from our automated system and joining information and all other correspondence is sent a week before the event start.
  4. Should you wish to transfer please give NCVO training team at least five working days notice by contacting training@NCVO.org.
  5. Please let the NCVO training team know at least three days before the session if you need to cancel for any reason.

Terms

  • The NCVO will NOT be able to refund any training costs incurred for courses booked directly through the website.
  • The NCVO cannot accept part payment for courses, for example it will not be possible to book one person on two courses which last two days each.
  • All data complies with GDPR policy and full info can be found via the T&C link in the form. Your name and organisation will be shared with the NCVO for the purpose of monitoring course bookings which ZCT are funding.
  • If you cancel the course ten days prior to the event or fail to show up to a course, ZCT will still be charged, so this will still count as one of the five days available to you. We therefore strongly recommend that you find someone to replace you so that the space is not wasted.

Take a look at a list of course topics available via the link to the right. Most courses run monthly or bi-monthly (please note that not all courses are published at the same time).

If you have any questions about the courses, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your ZCT Representative below.

DigiBoard are a company that uses the latest technology to support charities and not-for-profit organisations get to grips with good governance and board effectiveness.

By drawing on their experience of charity and not-for-profit governance, they have designed specific online questionnaires. They ask the right questions in the right way to get to the root of good governance for your organisation. The type of review will depend on the size of your charity. If your charity has less than £1m annual turnover, you will be offered the review for small charities (worth £900 incl vat), and those with more than £1m annual turnover, will be offered the review for larger charities (worth £1680 incl vat). You can gain a broader understanding of the benefits the review process offers by taking a closer look at the DigiBoard website here >

As ZCT are covering the costs of the review upfront, we ask you to start the review process within 2 months from completing the application form.  Whilst the review is  completely confidential to your organisation, ZCT will keep in touch with Digiboard to monitor progress.

Ideally there needs to be a minimum of 6 and maximum of 12 Trustees/Senior Management taking part in the review.

If you would like to apply for a free DigiBoard review, complete the form HERE
